MC Plan and Site Services (RBCA) is pleased to announce the well-deserved promotions of two of its longest-serving team members, Jamie Edwards and Tony Pound.

Jamie Edwards has been appointed Director of Building Control, and Tony Pound has been named Associate Director (Compliance & Training Manager). Jamie and Tony both joined MC Plan and Site Services in 2014 and have been instrumental in the company’s growth and service delivery over the past eleven years.

Jamie Edwards now heads up the entire Technical Department. In addition to his Senior Building Inspector status, his role includes strategic oversight and team leadership to ensure the highest standards of service delivery across all Building Control operations. He entered the construction industry after achieving a 2:1 Honours degree from King Alfred’s University in Winchester, before studying further at Bournemouth and Poole College. Jamie is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE), getting nearly decade of experience under his belt as a Building Control Officer for the LABC before joining MC Plan and Site Services. Jamie possesses extensive technical expertise spanning domestic builds, large residential developments, and major commercial projects such as schools and sports facilities.

Tony Pound also continues to serve as a Senior Building Inspector while expanding his focus to encompass compliance oversight, supervision, and ongoing training of staff. With over 30 years in the construction industry, Tony’s depth of practical knowledge and regulatory expertise is unmatched. He began his career in construction at the tender age of 16, starting as a bricklayer’s labourer before advancing to groundworker and site foreman for two prominent New Forest developers. He earned his HNC in Building Studies during his time on-site, later moving into Building Control at the Local Authority in 2004 under the guidance of our very own Mark Cook. Tony has worked with both Bournemouth and New Forest Councils, where he obtained his professional qualification in Building Control. He remains based in the New Forest, offering in-depth knowledge of local regulations and client needs.

Both Jamie and Tony oversee key client relationships and continue to be integral to MC Plan and Site Services’ reputation for technical excellence and client satisfaction. “These promotions are a direct result of Jamie and Tony’s commitment, expertise, and the respect they’ve earned within the industry,” said Mark Cook, Managing Director of MC Plan and Site Services. “They have been instrumental in building the high standards we are known for, and I’m confident they will help me guide the business through this next exciting phase of growth.”

“Please join us in congratulating Jamie and Tony on their well deserved promotions.” Mark added.
