Mark Cook
Managing Director
Mark established MC Plan & Site Services in 2013, having worked in the construction industry since leaving school and after having a military career in The Royal Engineers. He has been a building inspector now for over 27 years with extensive experience in all types of buildings from small household, new build and commercial. Outside of work, Mark loves all things Italy, heading over there as often as he can and trying his hand at learning Italian. You might hear Mark before you see him on site as he’s an avid motorbike rider.
Helen Cook
Company Director
Helen is the company’s Director and founder member of MC Plan, working closely alongside Mark within the core of the business model. Helen has the complete spectrum of skills within also the Finance, HR and administration roles. Since the company’s formation Helen has become a qualified Psychotherapeutic counsellor now working part time specialising in people’s wellbeing which also brings a wonderful balance to the everyday activities of the company and its staff.
Jamie Edwards
(RBCI) – Building Control Manager
Jamie joined the company back in June 2014 acting as a Senior Building Control Surveyor to support Mark as the company growed. He has been working in the building control sector now for over 20 years, during which he has gained extensive knowledge concerning all types of building categories. Jamie’s BSR rating is 3H.
A keen footballer and golfer, you’ll always see Jamie spending time on some form of sports.
Darren Crocker
Senior (RBCI) – Technical Training Manager
Darren has over 35 years experience in the construction industry and nearly 20 years in Building Control. His BSR rating is 3H. Darren currently covers the Wimborne and Bournemouth areas. Darren holds a 1st Class Honours Degree in Construction Management. Outside of work, Darren is currently renovating his home and enjoys spending time with his large family or enjoys running with his pet dogs. A keen football supporter and holds a season ticket holder at West Ham United and enjoy a round of golf here and there!
Tony Pound
Senior (RBCI) – Compliance Technical Manager
Tony Pound has been in construction since leaving school and his career experiences include having completed working for LABC for 11 years as a Building Control Surveyor before joining MC Plan & Site Services in 2014. He has qualifications for Class 2 Registered Building Inspector, C.Build E MCABE and his HSE/BSR rating is 2D.
Tony loves a bit of DIY and riding his motorcycle.
Paul Adams
Senior Registered Building Control Inspector
Paul started as an apprentice carpenter, then began a construction business in Northern Ireland and Dorset before gaining a teaching qualification. Paul worked in Bournemouth and Poole for further education and a local construction training centre delivering NVQs.
In 2022 he joined Bournemouth Building Control and in 2013 started with MC Plan & Site Services as a Senior Building Control Surveyor. His BSR rating is 3G. He has qualifications for C Build E MCABE.
Paul enjoys going for walks, playing golf and cars.
Tom Wippell
Registered Building Control Inspector
Tom has over 15 years experience working within the LABC framework as a Senior Planning Officer, but then decided to have a change of career and began working as a Building Control Officer before joining MC Plan & Site Services in October 2021. He has qualifications for B.A. (Hons), M.Sc. C.Build E MCABE and his BSR rating is 2A, 2B and 2D.
Tom enjoys watching and playing sports in his spare time, especially football!
Tony Penn
Registered Building Control Inspector
Tony has been with MC Plan & Site Services since October 2021. Tony covers the areas of Christchurch, Bournemouth and the Isle of Wight. His BSR rating is 2A, 2B and 2C.On the weekends, you may find Tony carrying out his own Bear Grylls act as he enjoys wild camping. He is a keen traveller, who enjoys exploring the world when he can.
Tom Redmond
Registered Building Control Inspector
Tom currently covers the North and West of Dorset, Wiltshire and Salisbury. With over 20 years in the Construction industry, Tom has a BSR rating of 2A and holds an HNC in Construction Management, and an NVQ within Carpentry. Outside of work, he has a passion for chopping wood and regularly competes for Britain in the STIHL Timbersports. When not rigorously chopping wood, you’ll find Tom in the countryside working his dogs.
Steph Harris
Registered Building Control Inspector
Steph joined the company in September 2017 and currently covers the areas of Bournemouth and Wimborne. She holds an HNC in Construction Management and an NVQ Level 6 Diploma in Building Control. Steph has a BSR rating of 2A. In her spare time you’ll catch her at the latest rock concert or making a mixture in her brewery.
Jack French
Registered Building Control Inspector
Jack studied for his Architectural Design and Technology degree at Solent University, graduating with First Class Honours, before completing his Masters in the same subject. He joined MC Plan & Site Services in 2022 as a trainee and was recently promoted. His BSR rating is 2A. When Jack is not visiting sites, he enjoys spending time with friends and watching sports.
Chloe Angwin
Registered Building Control Inspector
Chloe joined MC Plan & Site Servicesin 2022. She qualified and gained an HNC in Construction Management and an MSc in Building Surveying. She covers the Poole area and has a BSR rating of 2A. When Chloe isn’t visiting sites, you’ll find her cruising on her motorbike or enjoying a bit of cocktail making.
Mia Bradbury
Trainee Building Inspector
Mia graduated from Kingston University with a 2.1 honours degree and a strong foundation in building regulations and construction methods before joining MC Plan & Site Services in August 2024 as a trainee RBCI.
In her spare time, Mia enjoys sailing, fitness activities, and traveling, which adds to her dynamic and personality.
Toni Cook
Finance Manager
Toni was the first employee starting in April 2014 carrying out all the administrator roles, supporting Mark as the company began to grow. She is responsible for all the inhouse accounting, P&L and invoicing.
Before she joined MC Plan & Site Services, she was a Manager at a convenience store and busy raising her five children.
Outside of work Toni enjoys watching live music, playing pool, spending time with grand-children, socialising, bike riding and holidays (topping up her tan).
Jade Kingdon
Credit Controller
Jade began her journey with MC Plan & Site Services in the Business Support team. An opportunity became available in the finance team and she became the company’s Credit Controller. Working alongside our head of finance, Jade ensures that all our invoices are paid. She enjoys taking part in many running events and recently completed her first marathon.When not running, you can find her socialising in the nearest pub with family and friends.
Stacey Williams
Business Development Associate
Stacey joined the company back in November 2017, originally as a Credit Controller. On returning to work, she is now working in her new role in Business Development to help develop and find new business, as we broaden our geographical reach.
As well as running after her kids, Stacey is a keen runner in her own time. Weekends are spent walking and time with family and friends with a glass of Prosecco in hand.
Naomi Cook
Quality Control & Auditor
Naomi joined MC Plan and Site Services in 2021 working in the business development team. After several years decided to add an additional member to the family. She has recently returned to take on the role of Quality Control Auditor assisting the managing director and the HR team to ensure that the company operations framework are upheld and also assisting in maintaining the company’s registration under the ISO 9001 award scheme.
When she isn’t managing this role she is a trained dancer and loves to dance and perform as part of a local amateur dramatics society and has been part of many stage musicals.
Sarah Nippard
Business Support Team Leader
Sarah manages the Business Support team and ensures that all runs smoothly from application to final building control certificate. Sarah is currently studying CIPD Level 5 Human Resources and Management in her spare time, and before joining MC Plan & Site Services, Sarah was a manager and franchise (UK and international Operative Trainer). When Sarah isn’t busy managing the team, you can find Sarah in London enjoying the theatre and music events. A keen paddleboarder, she also loves to relax with a good book. Her birthday lands on Halloween, you can find Sarah bringing in spooky treats for the office at this time.
Charlie Bowey
Business Support Administrator
Charlie joined MC Plan & Site Services in 2019, working in the Business Support team as an administrator. Charlie had an eye for technical information and completed an NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Building Control Technical Support. When she isn’t managing applications, you can find her cruising in her T5 campervan, enjoying camping with a few ciders in hand.
Jade Tucknott
Business Support Administrator
Jade joined the team in 2022 and is studying for an NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Building Control Technical Support. She manages applications in the Poole, Bournemouth and Christchurch areas. In her spare time she plays in the South West Regional Women’s Football League Premier Division and if Jade isn’t playing football or watching, you’ll see her hiking whilst travelling the world.
Chloe Tester
Business Support Administrator
Chloe started with MC Plan in August 2023 taking on the role of Business Support Administrator. Chloe has qualifications in Health and Social Care that she studied in College.
At weekends Chloe enjoys going for walks, spending time with friends, family and weekends away/travelling to new places.
Sharon Dunkley
Receptionist & Business Support Administrator
Sharon joined the team in 2023 as receptionist. As the company was rapidly growing, Sharon has been helping the Business Support team to ensure that all applications have the relevant documentation. Before joining MC Plan & Site Services, Sharon spent time as a teaching assistant as well as working in administrative roles in the engineering industry. Sharon enjoys many beach walks with the family dog and spending time in her caravan, preferably in Cornwall and Devon.
Melanie McNaught
Business Support Administrator
Melanie has a strong history in property development, having managed her own renovations. Her hands-on experience, combined with her seven years working at
McNaughts Quantity Surveyors Ltd, a leading firm in Poole, equips her with an in-depth
understanding of the construction and property sectors. Melanie joined MC Plan & Site Services in August 2024.
Melanie likes doing yoga in her spare time, traveling and making her own perfume.
