How can I make an application?

You can submit your application through the online form in the Apply Now section. We offer two application types for different project needs.

How long does it take before I can begin building works?

We require 5 working days notice prior to works commencing, as this is the statutory period allocated to the Local Authority to accept the Initial Notice. Starting before this period expires will invalidate the submission.

What is an initial notice?

An Initial Notice is the formal document we submit to the Local Authority, notifying them of building works at a specific address and confirming that MC Plan & Site Services is monitoring compliance.

Do I need Building Regulation approval?

Approval is required for new buildings, modifications to existing structures, and the installation of controlled services and fittings. The Regulations cover structure, insulation, drainage, waste disposal and stairway construction, among other areas.

How can I request a quote?

Call the office on 01202 744 966 or complete the form in the Contact section.

I have a technical question — how can I speak to a building inspector?

Our building inspectors are available from 2pm. Call the office and select the technical option.

Do I get a final certificate at the end of the project?

Yes. All projects require a final building control inspection. Once complete and all necessary documentation is received, including the compliance declaration signed by all relevant parties, a final certificate is issued.
