JOB SUMMARY

As the first organisation to register with the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) as a RBCA in the UK when regulations changed in 2024, at MC Plan & Site Services we’ve evidenced our forward thinking, innovative, and industry leading principles since our inception in 2013.

With Building Control Inspectors positioned across the UK, our new Business Development Assistant will be situated at our Poole based office, and form part of an experienced operations team, tasked with the growth and management of our technical reach and business opportunities both locally and nationwide.

We are seeking a dynamic and results driven Business Development Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and a proven track record of driving business growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for organising CPD events for clients, monthly in our Head Office, supporting Business Development Activities such as distributing marketing collateral, managing Site Boards and Development hoarding, coordinating touch points with existing clients, identifying new business opportunities, and promoting our services to expand our market presence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with our Business Development Manager to increase quote conversion rates
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Construction sector.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and increase market share.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential clients.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations and proposals to potential clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on project delivery and client expectations.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, CPD and networking functions to promote our services and establish connections.
  • Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics to inform business strategies.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to Senior Management on business development activities and outcomes.
  • Attendance at relevant industry events and networking events.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in business development, preferably in the Property, Real Estate or Construction industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Self motivated with a results oriented mindset and strong organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A basic understanding of building regulations, compliance, and industry standards will be beneficial.

Working hours are 8.30 – 17.00 Monday to Thursday and 8.30 – 16.30 on Fridays with a 30 minute break each day. Due to the nature of this role, these hours may be subject to change to accommodate for events and meetings.

The successful candidate will be compensated with 33 days Holiday inc Bank Holidays.
